Welcome to the Community and Economic Development Department (CED) at Prairie View A&M University!

The CED Unit is dedicated to supporting individuals and families in achieving a higher standard of living through various means, such as small business development, youth entrepreneurship, community program involvement, home ownership, nonprofit support, and workforce development. Our team of professionals is ready to offer consultation and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and community organizations who wish to start or expand their operations.

In addition to assisting businesses, our CED staff is well-equipped to provide support to small-scale agricultural producers. We offer technical assistance and counseling to ensure the profitability and sustainability of these agricultural operations. Our group training programs cover a range of topics including business planning, niche markets, product quality, product distribution, global markets, debt management, accounting, business management, and financial forecasting.

By leveraging our expertise, entrepreneurs and small farmers can receive the guidance and resources they need to succeed in their ventures and improve their overall standard of living.
